Fuel Tank Draining

Fuel tank draining is an important step to take when the wrong type of fuel is put into a car.

When wrong fuel added into a car's fuel tank, the car’s performance can be drastically affected and can also cause expensive damage. To prevent this from happening, it is important to immediately drain the fuel tank. The first step to fuel tank draining is to identify what type of fuel has been put in the car. Immediately stop driving the vehicle to prevent further damage and call a qualified proffesional. If the car is driven with the wrong fuel, there may be additional work required to get the vehicle to run smoothly again. e.g. once the fuel has been drained, and the tank filled with the correct fuel, the entire fuel system should be cleaned. A fuel system cleaner, or a flush with clean fuel will help to remove any residue that may have been left behind to ensure that the car’s performance is not affected and that expensive damage is avoided.
